Baby boy,
It had been a day. I woke up this morning, got ready, and had some extra time to just sit there since I was earlier than usual. Then I went outside and the van was dead so Gma and Pap had to lend me their car so I could get to work. I was in second grade today and it wasn’t bad, but I had to break out my “mom voice” because some of them weren’t being kind to one another. We found out that Lucas does have strep throat, I went to get his antibiotics at the wrong place, then the correct place didn’t have it in stock, so I had to call and get it sent back to the original place I went to. We finally got home to discover that Bella got sick on the carpet thanks to the two chocolate coins and foil that she ate last night. It was just one of those days where you laugh and shake your head, maybe even question your sanity.
I did talk to the principal today and after Easter I will be coming back as a building sub for the rest of the year. It’s only about nine more weeks of school, but it’s something and it’s consistent. I’ve started filling up my “free time” during subbing with copying papers for other teachers and cutting things out. It’s better if I don’t have time to just sit there and think, it’s better if I have something to focus on and do.
I’m exhausted baby. Please watch over us. I love you more than anything, baby girl. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
