I got to talk about you today. It wasn’t quite how I liked talking about you, but I got to talk about you.

I want to make sure I show you these entries I made on an app back in the day, but I also don’t want to lose these memories of you. There are more, but I don’t want to overwhelm you right now.

How has Isaiah changed over the past month or two?
Isaiah has really changed over the past two months. He learned how to walk and after that..there was no looking back. He also started saying "mama" and it's adorable. He doesn't say it directly to me, but I know it's coming! His personality is really starting to shine through. He's definitely determined and wants to be independent. When I would try to hold his hand to make sure he didn't fall he would stop to swat my hand away. He's also a bit dramatic by throwing his head back and going limp when you take him away from whatever he was doing..like playing in the garbage. He loves Ellie so much, but has definitely started to stand up for himself.

What is one tiny detail about Isaiah that you love? What makes that tiny detail stand out to you?
I love when Isaiah comes up and just wraps his arms around me.

What is Isaiah's favorite fruit? Does Isaiah have a nickname for it?
Isaiah's favorite fruits are blueberries and strawberries. He can't get enough. However, he doesn't like the strawberries cut up, he likes to eat them whole. One time when I got home from the grocery store, I brought all the bags in by the front door and then took some into the kitchen. When I walked back in to the living room to get the other bags, Isaiah had taken the container of strawberries out of the bag, opened it up, and was eating a strawberry..stem and all. Tonight while I was making dinner, I took out the cherry tomatoes to cut and he started to go crazy signing and saying "more". I gave him a little piece and as soon as he noticed it wasn't a strawberry he knocked it out of my hand.

What was your favorite moment with Isaiah today?
While I was putting Isaiah to sleep tonight, he grabbed my hand and pulled it into his crib. He sometimes likes to fall asleep with his face on top of my hand. He was sitting down with both legs in front of him, but was attempting to lean forward to put his face on my hand. He didn't understand that he needed to move his legs out in order to lay down. It was adorable.

Can Isaiah do anything new on his own?
Isaiah wants to do everything on his own. He is very independent. His latest thing is pouring water into any bowl/cup/or container that he can find. After he pours it into he object, he drinks it.

What is something that you wish Isaiah could do by himself?
I don't mind Isaiah needing me right now for things. He already wants to be very independent and gets upset if I try and help. One thing I wouldn't mind him getting a little better at would be eating. He gets a lot of joy out of smearing things such as peanut butter, yogurt, and cottage cheese all in his hair. That's his favorite way to clean off his hands.
