Baby boy,

I had a great birthday. I woke up this morning to breakfast in bed consisting of eggs, sourdough toast, a KitKat, and my coffee. You probably would have wanted to make pancakes, too. I wonder if you’d finally decide it was time to follow a recipe instead of just adding your own unmeasured ingredients and hoping for the best.

Ellie also wrote me a card, had your brothers sign it, and signed your name on there, too. She also made me a bracelet and stayed up late last night cleaning the house for me. Your brothers each made me a Lego creation this morning, a boat and Minecraft armor. Elijah’s Minecraft armor actually reminds me of something you would have made when you were younger because he made it so the helmet lifts off. Remember that time you were determined to make Lego glasses, but you couldn’t get them to stay on your face?

I got so many messages, Beenie dropped off some delicious donuts, and I even got a free Starbucks drink from the app. As a bonus, it was Red Cup Day, I guess, so I got a red cup.

We got to spend the night with Gma, Pap, Uncle Brandon, and your cousins. Oh my gosh, Honora would have loved playing with you. She was so young when we moved, but I feel like you’d love to help entertain her.

It was a great birthday, although I didn’t receive a sign. I will say, I was distracted a large portion of the day when I was volunteering and such, so maybe I missed it. I do know I miss you like crazy.

I love you more than anything, baby boy. I hope you heard my wish. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
