My Isaiah Joseph,

I went to the library today to see the Minecraft book that was donated in your name. I checked it out in order to take a look at it, but never left the library with it. You would have definitely read this book. You would have probably known all of the information in it, but you still would have read it anyway. I returned it before we left so another kid could benefit from it.

Elijah and I finished our third Dog Man book today. We are not going in the correct order at all, but I’ve learned a lot about the story. Today I learned how Flippy became so smart and got his telekinetic mind powers. I can appreciate the books for their absolute ridiculousness, but also the nice little lessons the sneak in there. I feel closer to you when I’m reading them.

I had therapy today and I told her about getting Chase and told her I thought I was having a midlife crisis. She laughed at me, but told me based on what I told her I actually know exactly why we got another dog.

I told her how noisy and loud our house always was. With four kids and two big dogs, we always had a lot going on. We lost you and things got a lot quieter. Once we moved to Pittsburgh, the silence grew as we left daddy back in Hawaii. I got a little taste of the chaos once daddy got here to visit, but then it slowed down a lot more once we put Apollo to sleep. Daddy left a few days later and now I’m left in this uncomfortable quiet that I’m not a fan of. I”m stressed with Chase here now, but I feel like I function better under actual pressure.

I’m sorry I’m already tired, but I have some stuff to get in with you tomorrow, my love. I love you more than anything in the world. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
