My baby boy,
I’m exhausted and my back hurts. I spent all day packing and while I do know I got a lot done, there’s still so much to do. The movers are supposed to get here tomorrow between 11:30am-12:30pm, so that’ll give me more time in the morning. I think I’m spent for the day. I might even have more time because the military privatized the moves and go to the lowest bidder. Apparently there’s been a lot of movers just not showing up. We shall see what happens.
Guess what! That mama hen who laid eggs by our front door now has five chicks! I saw the first one this morning as I was about to take Ellie to school and there were five chicks with the mama before it got dark out. You’d love it, they’re so adorable. Your brothers and I keep going out there and telling the mama that she did such a good job. I will check and see how many there are tomorrow and I will try and get a picture of them.
There’s so much to do and I’m so overwhelmed. I feel the most unprepared I ever had for a move considering this is my ninth move. I’m the most unprepared on this side, but the most prepared we’ve ever been with the house we are moving to. Gma and pap said that the house is really coming together and our things aren’t even there yet. I’m taking most of my picture frames I have sitting on tables and such on the plane. I want them there as the one thing to show it’s our home.
I hope you’re watching over me and trying to cheer me along during all this. I love you more than anything, sweetie. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
