It’s later than usual for me because I was more than a little behind tonight. All the Christmas decorations got taken out tonight, but the only thing that really got put up was the tree. It’s fully up though, tree, lights, ornaments, and the houses are underneath. Unpacking Christmas decorations brought up a lot of memories and some tears. When I was going through them. I found the snowman ornament that you made out of legos. I think you made him two years ago? I’m not sure, but I bought super glue and glued him all together so I don’t have to worry about it breaking. I found the missing box of ornaments I couldn’t find last year. In it was each of your ornaments I made with your hospital onesies, hats, and hospital bracelets in them. I also found the handprint ornament we made when you were two. Your hand was so tiny. One of the first things I actually saw, though, was the spinning snowman you bought me last year for my birthday. I set it over by your urn.
Ellie and daddy couldn’t help finish putting the tree up, it was too hard for them. Lucas really wanted to though so I wanted to try. It did take way too long though because I am pretty sure most of the lights from last year no longer work.
We bought you an ornament and new lights for your tree. I’m going to continue to put your tree up every year. For your ornament, your siblings picked a Minecraft creeper.
I’m planning on making each of your siblings their own photo book that includes all pictures of you and them. I’m starting with Ellie’s book since I have the most pictures for that one. I want them to be a surprise and I will give them the books on Christmas Eve when they exchange siblings gifts.
I’m going to try and get a little something together give back to others for Christmas. Your legacy needs to continue. It might not be this huge organizational thing that I want to eventually get put together, but it’ll be something to help others since that’s something you loved.
