Hi baby,

It’s 9:25pm and super late for me, so I’m just going to give you some quick things from today.

First, I went to Mokuleia today to just sit on the beach. Rookie mistake, though. I didn’t look at the tide charts before I left or take into account that it’s “winter” on the North Shore. The waves were insane. Remember the time we went with grandpop and Abuela and the waves came all the way up and took our stuff into the ocean? That’s how it was. I walked to where I could sit in the shade, but sit far enough back that the water wouldn’t come up and soak all my stuff. I was all the way against the one wall and the water still got me. Because of the crazy waves, I wasn’t there too long. However, I can proudly say that I’m almost finished with your card I’m sending to the recipients of your kidney. I owe it to you to get it done. My goal is to finish it tomorrow and get it sent on Monday.

While I was walking back to the van I noticed the beach had a ridiculous amount of garbage and little pieces of random plastic. It’s never like that, so maybe the winter waves bring more stuff in. I decided your siblings and I are going to go back to the beach tomorrow with some garbage bags in hand and clean some of it up. It’s kind of our way to give back, but honor you at the same time. It may not be the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, but we will get the shores of Mokuleia cleaned for you.

Tomorrow is December 1st, which means the elves start leaving you guys various treats and things in the advent calendar. I bought some of the treats today and I decided to buy four of everything. I need to. I can’t just buy three and pretend you don’t exist. So while I was shopping, I decided that I’m going to take the fourth of each item and give it to someone each day. I’m going to include a little card that says “In memory of Isaiah Joseph”. It’s nothing huge, but I still get to include you and give back at the same time.
