My baby boy,
Hi, sweetie. Guess what we did today, we went to see Dog Man the movie. I remember a long time ago you asked if they had a Dog Man movie or show. When I looked it up, there wasn’t even talk about this one being made.
You would have loved it. It went right along with the books and was ridiculous at times. You had read parts of your Dog Man books to me, but I hadn’t actually read any of them until I read you the two at the hospital. When watching the movie, I remembered how I read it to you and constantly told you I had no idea what was going on. I’m not sure if you heard me when I read them, maybe your spirit was already hanging around. Anyways, the movie would have met your expectations.
Your room got packed up a little bit today. You want to know what broke me? I picked up your rocket ship bank that you painted on your windowsill and saw that there was two one dollar bills in there and some coins. I just saw it and thought, “there’s something else Isaiah didn’t get to do”.
I also had trouble looking at the clothes as I packed them up. I was putting clothes into a box that hadn’t fit you yet before we lost you. Would you fit into them now? They looked so big, but you were growing insanely fast.
Did you know that yesterday we hit the eight month mark? I didn’t even clock it, but daddy said something about it. So you’ve now been gone for two-thirds of a year.
I love you so much, my baby. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
