Something so beautiful, yet so absolutely heart wrenching happened today.

Lucas and Elijah were playing Minecraft after we got back from Ellie’s therapy appointment. They both ran into my room to excitedly tell me that Elijah found the very rare “End City”.

I asked if it was something that you had ever found, but they both told me you didn’t. I told them I’m sure you were so proud of them.

Elijah then asked me if I could “carry you”, as in your urn, into the living room and put it on the couch. He said that he wanted you to see the End City and show you everything they found.

I carried your urn in, set it on the couch, and Elijah sat right down beside it and started talking to you. He was telling you all about what they found and all the random details of it. This absolutely broke my heart, but filled my heart with so much love and gratitude at the same time.

You are forever our baby boy and will continue to be an active member in this family, some way or another. I love you more than anything in the world, sweetie. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
