Isaiah Joseph,

It was absolutely beautiful outside today. In typical Pittsburgh fashion though, it’ll be colder tomorrow.

We spent our day outside, but doing all spring cleaning things in the yard. Although we rent our house, they don’t do any real upkeep and the yard and trees were really let go for years. I managed to clean, mulch, and plant flowers last year, but there was still a lot that needed done.

I spent my day cutting off dead branches, trimming trees and bushes, pulling dead vines off wherever they were attached to, and pulling dead trees from out near the creek. Don’t worry, I got all the vines down from near your bedroom window and now it’s a nice and clear view.

Ellie and I burned some of the dead branches, but we had way too much to burn and it was quite windy so I didn’t want to do it for that long. I felt defeated as I saw huge piles of sticks, logs, and trees accumulating all around the yard. On the way home, I saw a neighbor with random stick piles out in front of their house. After a quick google search, I found out that Peter’s will pick up the sticks for you if you leave neat piles by the side of the road. It’s sad, but I was so excited when I read that, it’s crazy the things I find important as an adult.

Miss Whitney put up some pictures of the one time we visited them when we both lived in Virginia. She said she misses you, I hope that you saw it.

I love you more than anything, baby boy. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
