Hi my baby boy,

We were having a Lego challenge in your room today and Elijah and I were talking about you. Elijah randomly asked how long it had been since you passed away. I asked him if he was asking about the incident on the beach or the last day we saw you in the hospital. I told him how those dates were different and said the last day we actually saw you was June 7th.

You can tell I’ve been around kids too much, because as soon as I told him that in my head I laughed and said “6-7”. I then voiced this to Elijah and he rolled his eyes at me. I asked him if he thought you would be someone who said it all the time, but him and I both agreed that we didn’t think you would be.

You were never much of a follower and were more of an individual. My guess is that you actually would get overly annoyed when Ellie says it and that would ensure you never said it.

Today was your movie pick and I suggested the movie “If”. Remember that one? We saw it right before we lost you, I actually forgot that movie existed. You enjoyed it and I’m pretty sure I did, too. However, your siblings all quickly said “no”. I will make them watch it soon just for the memories, I don’t care if they complain.

I love you more than anything in the world, baby boy. As a quick reminder, my birthday is coming up, so if you could visit me in one of my dreams I would really appreciate it. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
