Well, it was a snow day today. Lucas woke us up around 2:30am to make sure we saw the snow coming down outside and was so excited. By the time we woke up, there were a few inches on the ground. Your brothers got dressed right away and went outside, where Elijah lasted like five minutes. Ellie went out about a half hour later with no shoes, in her pajamas, and made a snow angel. Lucas was in and out today about six different times. I’m sure you would have been outside right away with the boys.

It took me over an hour and a half to shovel the entire driveway and I didn’t even finish it. I probably should have kept in mind “shoveling the driveway” when looking for a house. This house has the longest driveway out of any of our houses and the random part that’s half gravel doesn’t help the situation. I always figured you’d be the one to come out and help me shovel the driveway. I remember thinking about it in Missouri when I was shoveling the one day, just thinking “in a few years Isaiah will be a huge help with this”. I have to get another shovel or two and have your siblings start learning to help me with that. I’m all for letting them be kids, but I feel like that’s one job I could use extra help with.

I thought we were prepared for this snow, but I think we were gone too long. When it came time to get all the boots and snow pants out, I really couldn’t find all of them. I knew where they were in Missouri, I knew where they were in Virginia, and I knew where they were in the house in Hawaii, but not sure of where it all is here. After assessing our supplies, it seems like I’m going to need to actually go out and get a few more things for the snow.

Lucas was putting the sled on the hill and running and jumping onto it the way you guys always did to the boogie boards on the beach. Seeing him do that brought back some great memories of you guys. I tried to do it a few times, but the board would never move and I would just fling my body forward onto the sand. I didn’t understand the secret to making that whole thing work.
