My baby boy,

I’m absolutely exhausted, so this isn’t going to be that long. We ran around to urgent care this morning with Ellie because she swore she fractured her ankle yesterday at the trampoline park. I told her I thought it was just a sprain, but she googled it and told me it was more than that. I will say, I was correct, it was just a sprain.

Ellie was talking about you on the way there, though. She talked about how helpful you were when she broke her toe. We all miss you all the time, every single day.

I laughed out loud tonight for the first time in a long time. I was watching a documentary on the Pacific Ocean and there was a part where the male fish did a “dance” poking out of their holes to gain the attention of a female. I wasn’t expecting it and the boys and I were just laughing. It’s like when we saw the documentary where the one bird does a dance to get the attention of the females, it’s adorable and hilarious at the same time. I remember when we saw that Planet Earth episode in the van the one day. We watched that bird dance several times.

Tomorrow we have a day filled with getting to see and spend time with some important people. We are going over Beenie’s house with Jacki, and Lehm. Remember when we went to her house right before we moved? You guys got to swim in their pool and thought it was the best day ever? In the afternoon, we are headed up to Cal where daddy and I both went to college. Last time we were there you played soccer with Coach Caulfield’s Ellie and played a little football with some of the track athletes.

It’s been an adjustment since we moved here and I’m exhausted. Maybe once I get everything unpacked and put together, I can relax a little. However, I have always said comments like “once this happens, it’ll be better” and it never is.

I love you more than anything, sweetheart. Please visit one of us soon, I need it and so does everyone else. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
