Baby boy,

I got all the things for your Valentine’s Day bags today. I work tomorrow afternoon and your siblings have off on Friday, so today was my one chance. I asked your siblings where we should take your bag to give out your things and I think we are going to go to the library. It’s funny because I looked at my letter to you last year on this day and I had done the same thing with getting the gifts.

Lucas was telling a story about how he saw the beginning of Angry Birds 2 and the little red dot was flying around and said, “I like this so far”. Lucas said you laughed so hard at him and told him the movie didn’t even start yet. I’m glad that randomly came to his mind.

Elijah and I spent about an hour taking apart his entire Pokemon binder and reorganizing it by type and then evolutions. Even though I’m unorganized, I actually enjoyed organizing the binder with him. While we were doing it, he kept talking about wanting to see the “real gold card” that you have in your binder. I don’t know if that is a metal card or what, but he never actually found the one to show me.

While I was going through your closet to get the binder, I saw your Steeler shirt sitting up on the shelf. It’s the yellow one that you wore for years, but it didn’t fit you until you were older. I took the shirt out to hold it up and look at it and it looked so small. I looked at the size and realized that Lucas would currently fit into it. I’ve battled with asking him to try it on because I don’t know if I want to see him wearing it, but I also don’t know if he would want to put on one of your shirts and see that it fits.
