My Isaiah Joseph,
Happy Easter Eve, baby boy. I don’t know how I feel about Easter tomorrow. I’m in no way ready, I have no idea how the baskets are going to turn out and we haven’t even dyed the eggs yet. I go to bed before Ellie, so I’m going to have to wake up in the middle of the night to make the baskets, hide them, dispose of the carrots left for the Easter Bunny, and reply back to any notes that were left. I noticed that Lucas left his shirt out and asked the Easter Bunny to sign it this year. I guess I will fake the signature on the tag of the shirt. It’s a nice shirt, I don’t want to sharpie an Easter Bunny signature really big on it.
This was your last holiday that you celebrated with us. At this point, I would have to hide something smaller for you to find because you’d need something more difficult for your basket. Once we got older, Pap used to hide a beanie baby for each of us and we had to find that in order to get our baskets. I don’t even have any half decent ideas of hiding places in this house, especially because the baskets are larger.
Your basket had your name on it last year. The paper that you put on there and wrote your name on was still on it, but when I looked at it tonight it was gone. I’m going to look in the bin that it was in to see if it fell off and is sitting in there before I panic. You wrote your name on that paper, that’s why it’s a problem that it fell off. If someone else wrote it, it wouldn’t bother me.
We will be taking your basket and its contents to the park tomorrow to give them away, just like last year. However, I just went ahead and looked at the weather for tomorrow and it doesn’t look very promising. It’s going to rain and the temperature is just going to be dropping tomorrow, so hopefully there would be people at the park. If not, we will figure it out.
Tomorrow is just another day that I feel guilty about with your other siblings, because I don’t want it to come and can’t wait until it’s over. I love you more than anything, my sweet boy. I don’t want to take that picture tomorrow with the duck costume and bunny ears, but we will see what happens. Goodnight and sweet dreams. RT
